2021: imagine and the story begins...

First of all: happy new year! I hope for a creative and beautiful year full of love, passion and health.

With this mixed media star I would like to participate in the challenge of More than words

I used washi tape in the background. (See close up photos) I love to use washi tape.

We don't know what the new year will bring us. You can wait for things to come, but you can also imagine things, make dreams come true.

that's why I made this star. to remind me, my children, and students that you can accomplish anything, but it starts with faith.

believe in what you want to achieve and that you can do it. look at the possibilities, big or small.

That is my greatest wish for 2021 for everyone!

mixed media: into the unknown, the sun will rise

 

Hi everybody,

It's a long time since I made something, but here is my mixed media star.

I was inspired by the challenge of October from More Than Words.

The man in the photo is Alexander Dreymon. He plays Uhtred in The Last Kingdom at Netflix. A born Sask, but raised by the Danes. His life is dominated by loyalty and living in the unknown: his fate. Everytime he will rise up like the sun.

It's a show I'm a big fan of. When I watch an episode, I can't stop watching. I forget the time. I often go to bed at night, when everyone in the house is already sleeping.

That's why I wanted to make a galaxy-like star. Where the colors of the night come out.

You can see stars at night, but I think Alexander Dreymon is also a star. He plays his role very well and he is very handsome. That also makes a show very nice to watch.

Today is a gift

Hi everybody,

Here is my latest layout called 'Today is a gift.' 

I chose this photo because it reminds me of the moment my daughter could just walk. she has often fallen and risen again, facing the world.This memory also reminds me of how fast time goes. Now my daughter is 3.5 years old and a big sister of her little brother.

Because time goes so fast and is fragile, I often try to take the time to enjoy my children. Every day is a gift.

I would like to participate with this layout for the challenge of Dusty Attic and More than Words.

One boy, a thousand feelings

After a break of a year I am back with a layout for More than words and Dusty Attic.

On August 11, 2017, I gave birth to our son. On this date I will always be grateful that he came into the world. With this photo I take the theme of this month literally.

On this picture I give him breastfeeding and I think that's something to celebrate.

breastfeeding is not self-evident. It takes a lot of time, energy and patience from the mother.

I am very proud to have given my son 8 weeks of my best. I am very grateful for the beautiful moments.

My layout is also inspired by the mood board of Dusty Attic.

Layout: A fairy tale

First of all  the best wishes for 2017. It's a while since I've created something, but a new year with new challenges.

 

 

I was inspired by the Januari challenge of More than words to use this picture. This photo was taken on December 28, 2016; the birthday of my daughter. And a birthday should be celebrated with lots of presents.

I used gold glitter embossing powder and I have added more bling bling.

 

 

 

I am also inspired by the sketch of the Januari challenge of Dusty attic. For this layout I used the Swirly Frame.

 

 

This layout I used straws. Therefore, this layout suits the them of the challenge from Scrapki Wyzwaniowo

 

 

I would like to join this layout with these three challenges.

Here is my canvas based on the mood board from berry71bleu.

Fantasy is a world to me that nothing is what it seems. You can create your own world. You can be who you want to be. 

I'm a big fan of Game of Thrones . This serie has a lot of influences from the Middle Ages , I love the Middle Ages. But this serie is exceptional by his storylines and characters who choose their own path to the thrones and become a king or queen. And also for this serie goes, nothing is what it seems.

I made a sort of coat of arms in gold  to give my canvas a royal and Middle Ages touch. You see on my canvas serval wings. With these wings I can choose who I want to be.

Layout 'Imagine, choose to shine'

Here is my layout 'Imagine, choose to shine'.

I was asked to be a guest designer at scrapki-wyzwaniowo . I feel very honored to show my creation for such a large audience, A dream came true.

The theme of this month is 'horoscope'. I have nothing with predictions, so I made a word web for myself in orde to get inspiration for my layout. I came out with stars and the universe.

Therefore my layout should represent the universe. in the middle of my life, my universe, is the largest and brightest star; my daughter. Despite her difficult start, she choose to shine everyday and I'm so proud of her. I can only imagine en hope that she stays a bright spot in the lives of others.

I want to participate with this layout to the challenge of more than words.

Here is my new layout 'beautiful little princess'

I made this layout in response to the challenge of 7 dots with the theme 'gardening'. I thought of the beautiful colors and scents of the flowers. I had to think of my lovely daughter when she is playing in the backyard. I enjoy when she explore the garden, except when she eats the sand ;P .

my daughter's name means spring, and she is to me a beautiful flower that opens every day with all her colors. I love my daughter dearly, therefor I want to enter this layout also for the challenge of scrapki-wyzwaniowo.

the colors of this layout are based on the color palette from words & paintery.

Layout 'Little moments captured'

 

 

I have created this layout on the lovely mood board from Dusty Attic. I love the combination of the colors.

 

Flowers can't missing on my layout so therefor I would like to participate with the challenge from Cards and Scrap  . The theme for this month was flower power.

 

I would like to enter this layout also for More than Words. The word for this month was escape. On this picture you see my husband and daughter having a moment together and they forget evertything around them. They escape in the moment.
